Dr. Karim Al Maliki Director Marketing and Technology, Enteos Founder and CEO, Athonet

Karim El Malki is a co-author of several IETF RFCs, 3GPP contributions, refereed papers and patents. He has held consultant and senior technical positions in the mobile telecoms industry and has worked in academia as a Lecturer in IP Mobile Communications at the University of Sheffield (U.K.).

Karim holds Ph.D. and B.Eng. (Hon’s) degrees. 

Presentation Title:  The Private Mobile Intranet system

 Abstract:

"As an alternative to unreliable WiFi and unprioritized public cellular networks, private enterprises can deploy the Private Mobile Intranet:

the first UMTS IP data infrastructure designed for local-area wireless outdoor and indoor environments. This is the ideal solution for professional as well as non-professional usage in corporate campuses, offshore rigs, public safety, office environments and large areas such as airports and ports for workflow and logistics-related communications.

The Mobility Gateway system is powerful enough to bring the benefits of UMTS High Speed Packet Access over a wide area while at the same time offering prioritised access, guaranteed quality of service, mobility and wide-area roaming using standard mobile phones. It is also cost-effective to the extent that it can be used in low traffic areas and is simple to integrate into existing enterprise IP networks."
